Eat Fast bring their scuzzy glory to Reading 2016
The likes of ‘Fenham Dreadlock’ and ‘Byker Drone’ already sound like fully-fledged, rough and ready anthems.
Being a newcomer at a festival with a line-up as vast as Reading and Leeds’ is always going to be a challenge but, as Eat Fast make their debut appearance at the infamous weekender, they take it in their stride.
Appearing on the BBC Introducing Stage in the height of the afternoon’s heat, their brand of gritty, scuzzed up punk matches the weather perfectly. All scorched guitars and distortion-drenched vocals, the likes of ‘Fenham Dreadlock’ and ‘Byker Drone’ already sound like fully-fledged, rough and ready anthems.
Granted, they’re still at an incredibly early juncture in their career, but judging from their set this afternoon, Reading Fest will be welcoming the Newcastle quartet back in no time at all.
