Yak lay waste to the William’s Green at Glastonbury 2016

Oli Burslem wasted no time when it came down to writhing around the floor during their set earlier today.

The William’s Green tent seems the place to be at this year’s Glastonbury. Rat Boy’s secret set last night opened proceedings in chaotic circumstance and over the weekend, the tent will host sets from VANT, Oscar, The Big Moon, Blaenavon and more. Today, however, Yak’s Friday afternoon set fills it to the brim.

The band are continuing their assault around the UK and beyond in support of debut album ‘Alas, Salvation’ and vocalist Oli Burslem wastes no time in getting acquainted with the crowd.

The rain hit again at Worthy Farm early in the afternoon, but he still saw fit to gallivant along the front row without any shoes. It’s characteristic of the band’s care-free, no holds barred set.

‘Use Somebody’ is a complete assault, and the chant of ‘Victorious’ feels anthemic, with anything looking possible moving forward from Yak and from ‘Alas Salvation’.
