Rustie previews new album ‘Green Language’ with ‘Raptor’
Scotland producer backs up his 2011 Warp debut with a new LP this August.
Russell Rhyte aka Rustie has announced details of his second studio album ‘Green Language’.
Following up 2011’s ‘Glass Swords’, the new album is out 25th August on Warp and it’s set to feature guests spots form Redinho, Gorgeous Children, D Double E and Danny Brown.
The album title stems from “medieval literature, Renaissance magic, and ancient mythology”, while its lead track ‘Raptor’ is a hyperactive pendulum swing of maddening synths, dripping with energy and reaching the pulse of a caffeine-fuelled lunatic.
Rustie’s ‘Raptor’ track gained its first play on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show last Friday. Listen below.
