Rustie to take a break from touring
Scottish producer is struggling with “addiction and mental health problems”.
Rustie, aka Russell Whyte, has announced his intention to take a step back from touring.
The producer - who surprise-released his ‘Evenifyoudontbelieve’ album via Warp this year - took to Twitter to tell fans he’d be taking a break from live duties. “Due to addiction & mental health problems, all gigs in the near future are cancelled. Very very sorry & hope to see u all soon,” he said.
Whyte further added that he’d be opting out of social media for the time being. “Also won’t be posting or responding on social media personally for a while. Any posts will come from management.”
Affected live shows include a show at San Bernardino’s National Orange Show Events Center (31st December) and his appearance at Holy Ship festival, 3rd January 2016.
