Don't call it a comeback
The Coral to release ‘new’ album, ‘Curse of Love’
The record was made eight years ago, according to the band’s James Skelly.
The Coral are to release a ‘new’ album “in the coming weeks”.
After Portishead’s Geoff Barrow brought unreleased cut ‘Wrapped in Blue’ on to Stuart Maconie’s BBC Radio 6 Music show on Sunday, the band’s James Skelly has confirmed a ‘secret’ album’s existence.
‘Curse of Love’ will, according to Skelly, be released “in the coming weeks”, and was recorded eight years ago - around the same time Barrow produced ‘The Invisible Invasion’ - but only mastered recently.
It will be released via Skelly’s Skeleton Key label.
The Coral went on “indefinite hiatus” in 2012, half-way through recording a seventh album.
