Exclusive Air hockey, raging bulls and Palma Violets: Kid Wave share exclusive tour diary
London dreamers have just rounded off dates across the UK - check out their photo-tastic account.
Kid Wave spent most of their waking minutes penning escapist, guitar-drenched tracks - the likes of which make up their forthcoming debut album ‘Wonderlust’. So you’d hazard a guess that this tour lark might be right up their street. Knackered vans, late nights and life-saving Travelodges? It’s all in their nature.
But how’s this for a test? Touring the country with Palma Violets, a band who spend most of their time boozing, cackling like pirates and every so often retreating to the countryside for some ‘me time’. Few tours could come more chaotic.
So when Kid Wave said they’d cover the whole run and give DIY a photo-centric guide to their tour, we couldn’t exactly say no. Indie gossip columns at the ready, we were expecting scandalous photos of Chilli Jesson ditching the booze and going for a cranberry juice instead. What we actually received were a bunch of lovely photos - some more alcohol-fuelled than others - of the great English countryside and behind-the-scenes access.
