The Cribs announce live shows in London and Glasgow
The new UK dates follow the band’s sold-out run of tour dates earlier in the year.
The Cribs have announced two UK tour dates, taking place this October. The pair of shows come after the band’s sold-out run of live dates earlier this year. They’ll play shows at London’s The Roundhouse, and Barrowlands in Glasgow.
Speaking ahead of the dates in a press release, the band’s Ryan Jarman says that playing Camden’s The Roundhouse inparticular is a massive dream for The Cribs. “it’s a huge personal thrill for the band to be playing at the Roundhouse,” he says. “Growing up we were huge Ramones fans, and I first remember hearing of this venue in articles and books about the Ramones playing their first UK show there, and what a seminal event that was. We also later tracked down a bootleg of them playing live at the Roundhouse. Never would those 14 year old Cribs sitting in their bedroom in Wakefield have ever believed that one day we would grace this hallowed hall, and that feeling is notlost on us! And the Barras is just the best damn gig in the world! Period!”
The Cribs are also set to play Reading and Leeds festival next month. Their new UK tour dates are as follows:
OCTOBER
20 Glasgow, Barrowlands
28 London, The Roundhouse
Tickets for The Cribs’ UK dates go on pre-sale at 9am on Wednesday 29th July. General sale opens here at 9am, Friday 31st July.
