Tuff Love unveil ‘Duke’ from new EP ‘Dregs’
Scottish duo are taking a bold new step with their new track, streaming first on DIY.
It’s all in the small steps, but bit-by-bit Tuff Love are becoming one of the brightest new acts around. Julie Eisenstein and Suse Bear specialise in understated, grunge-lined rock, and it’s not the kind to throw down a gauntlet or dislodge the senses. But on evidence of ‘Dregs’, these previously unassuming numbers are building up into an almighty stack.
Next on the agenda is ‘Dregs’, a forthcoming EP on Lost Map Records, out 6th November. The release is being led by ‘Duke’, a song about “roots and growth” that suitably lodges itself in the conscience from the get go. Simple guitar lines circuit around, while the pair ask: “Oh, what’s it all about?”
DIY is premiering ‘Duke’ below - check it out below a tracklist and upcoming dates. They play a DIY x Beacons Metro show at Headrow House on 13th November - tickets.
