Fishing for clues
Haim give important album update: “Our fish fingers are in the tray”
Trio say they’re working on their new album “every single day”.
Haim visited Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 studio just now to give more details on their ‘Haim Time’ show, starting next week.
While Zane had their attention, he asked for a quick album update. And then he asked again. And they eventually gave him the all-important quote: “Our fish fingers are in the tray”.
“One of my friends from a reputable music website should get on this,” was Zane’s response, specifically asking DIY on-air if we’d report on it. And so here we are. The great Haim album update the world’s been waiting for.
Alongside the fish fingers confirmation, Haim also tentatively said: “We are… working on it every day. We’re not on vacation! We’re really excited, and I can’t swear on the radio, but we’re getting stuff done. It sounds really cool. Songs are written, yeah, many songs. Songs are being recorded, yes. Tick that box.”

HAIM: Calling It Quits
Now over a decade into their career, HAIM have long since hit their stride — and, having already spent years navigating the industry’s infamous fickleness, on fourth record ‘I quit’ they literally “don’t give a fuck”. With a period of break-ups, overthinking, and crippling self-doubt now behind them, the LA sisters are letting their hair down, ready to abandon fear and embrace a summer of vulnerability, freedom, and fun.
