It Looks Like Chance The Rapper Isn’t Releasing A New Album This Week After All

Yesterday, it was reported that Chance The Rapper was set to release a new album this week, based off an interview he gave to the Chicago Tribune.

Well, it turns out we were all wrong. There’s no album (yet) and our hopeful hearts have been broken.

Chance took to Twitter to dispel the new album rumours, writing: “Sorry no album this week, def been in the stu tho.”

In the same interview, he did however discuss the album he’s currently working on with Kanye West. “We’ve just started making it, but I don’t want to manipulate the situation and impose any time frame, because that can hinder you,” he said.

Late last year, Chance The Rapper also teased a collaboration with Childish Gambino, with Donald Glover telling reporters at the Emmys: “I feel like I’ve gotta do something. I probably will.” We’ve yet to hear anything from that project yet either, but we can only hope new music of some sort is one the way very soon.
