Listen: Amber Arcades shares lovelorn new single ‘Where Did You Go’

It’s about “the irrational nature of love”.
Holland’s Amber Arcades - fronted by singer Annelotte De Graaf, have shared new single ‘Where Did You Go’.
Musing on “the irrational nature of love”, it’s less of a forlorn bop however than an idiosyncratically perky number. It also comes complete with a cinematic video - the third part of a visual trilogy following the release of previous singles ‘Goodnight Europe’ and ‘Simple Song’.
Of the track, Annelotte says: “This song is about the irrational nature of love. You need to keep telling yourself you believe in it in order for it to exist at all. On the other hand, maybe it’s a cool thing because of that. If it were more “real” it would just be another “thing” you can choose, like a brand of peanut butter. And I’m not so sure about whether always being able to choose all the things makes us better or happier in the end.”
Amber Arcades release their second LP ‘European Heartbreak’ via Heavenly Recordings on September 28th.
