Lucia & The Best Boys reveals newest track ‘Better For The Worse’
Her latest single marks the fourth preview of her forthcoming second album, ‘Picking Petals’.
Ahead of the release of her new album later this month(!), Lucia & The Best Boys - aka the moniker for Glasgow creative Lucia Fairfull - has shared another of its tracks.
Having already confirmed that her sophomore record ‘Picking Petals’ is set to land on shelves on 31st July via Communion Records, she’s now offered up a fourth preview of the record in the form of ‘Better For The Worse’. The track, which opens with a warm acoustic guitar, channels a Fleetwood Mac-esque sense of drama and follows on from her recent singles ‘Big Romance’ (featuring Abigail Morris), ‘You Look Like Somebody In Love’ and ‘Lonely Girl’ (with Lauren Mayberry).
The follow up to her 2023 debut ‘Burning Castles’, ‘Picking Petals’ promises to be a collection grounded in lived experience, informed by the rich, wild landscapes of Scotland, as well as Lucia’s own navigation of self-perception, perseverance, and formative friendship. Accordingly, the album was recorded with Yves Rothman in Mogwai’s Glasgow townhouse-turned-studio space, Castle of Doom.
