PIXIES Set To Release More New Material Following 4-Track EP
Avoiding album format, more ‘mini-releases’ are on their way.

The newly-formed PIXIES - with recently recruited bassist Kim Shattuck replacing Kim Deal - are set to go on a prolific spree of releases in the next 12 months.
This week they unveiled a new 4-track EP. According to an interview with the New York Times, more releases of this kind are on the way.
Richard Jones, the band’s manager, stated that PIXIES had no intention to ‘play by [the] rules’ by releasing standard albums. NYT declared the new EP to be ‘the first in a series of mini-releases’ due for release over the next 15 months.
PIXIES are set to tour these new tracks non-stop, with a new date in London being announced for this September.
