It’s not hard to hear the indubitable talent and great potential of Farewell J.R despite only having two tracks available for your consideration. These recordings suggest a very meticulous approach to achieving his desired sound and a level of care and attention to be admired. A select international collective was assembled to assist in the realisation of Farewell J.R’s vision with Irish drummer Sam McNicholl, Australian violinist Aleesha Camerin and English bassist Danny Powe all employed thus far.
The resulting sound is one of delicate indie folk that fits in with the contemporary reverberated guitar sounds of today, yet stands out with its overall quality of composition. Vocals are delivered with transcendental choral pop harmonies and each instrument is given the required space to deliver something truly vital to the track. It’s a compelling listen.
