Get Excited About... Field Day 2015 promises to be the most hyped, surprise-filled year in the fest’s history
From outlandish collaborations to the DIY stage, here’s why we’re already counting down to June’s first weekend.
Since expanding to a weekender in 2014, Field Day has well and truly announced itself as one of the year’s essential festivals. A hybrid of hyped newcomers, newly-fledged headliners and established giants, this year’s line-up doesn’t pull any punches. And it’s an especially big deal for DIY, given we’ve got our mitts on the Shacklewell Arms stage for the first time, hosting Hookworms’ ear-bursting noise and Shura’s softly-softly pop across two heady days. With that in mind, June 6th-7th has been marked off in the calendar for some time, and as the line-up takes full shape, this year’s highlights (and potential surprises) are already stepping to the fore.
Plenty of fests offer like-for-like bills and a copy / paste experience, but 2015’s Field Day bill isn’t replicated in the slightest elsewhere. Below we run through the big names and the potentially unforgettable moments in anticipation of this year’s Victoria Park madness.
