Marika Hackman - Claude’s Girl
Marika performs a solo rendition of the song, featured on her debut album.
Back in September, London singer-songwriter Marika Hackman announced she’d be releasing her long-awaited debut album, ‘We Slept At Last’ in February of next year. Since then she’s given us ‘Drown’ - both the song itself and a literal interpretation on video - been announced for at least one festival, and now appears in DIY’s Class of 2015.
That’s after already having released EP ‘Deaf Heat’ earlier this year, support slots with Alt-J among many others and appearances at the likes of Reading & Leeds, The Great Escape, Latitude and SXSW.
In the back room of an east London café, Marika performed a stripped-back solo version of ‘Claude’s Girl’, which features on ‘We Slept At Last’ in session for DIY, which can be watched below.
‘We Slept At Last’ is released on 16th February 2015 via Dirty Hit.
