News The Neu Bulletin (16th October 2012)

Your mandatory dose of new music recommendations, chosen by Neu. Featuring PAWS and Eaux.

Neu’s got you covered for new music recommendations and nights out this week. Each day we’ll give you a choice gig, plus a selection of fresh artists to check out.

THE GIG
I was beginning to think that Big Deal were nothing but a distant memory, where two good looking student-types stared at each other longingly and played ‘will they? won’t they?’ games with each audience they played to. Instead, they’re joining the ferocious and almighty album-ready Paws in London tonight. Expect the recent Fatcat signings to play anything but a relationship quiz within their sweatpatch-inducing set.

Paws play with Big Deal & North American War at the London Shacklewell Arms, tonight.

THE SONG
You know, out of all four recorded takes to their name, ‘Dream Out’ might be the source of the least intrigue. FURTHER NEU BUSINESS
A meeting of exciting minds occurs here, as both Eaux and Holy Strays combine for a re-invention of the former’s ‘Luther’ track. Both acts are signed to new label Morning Ritual, and each offer divine sonic explorations in equal measure. This remix takes conventional elements and places them up against uncharacteristic meeting points; hip-hop beats and pitch-shifted samples.
