She’s 17, and she packs enough emotional punch to render all your half-scribbled, never-materialised love songs into shreds. This track’s full of ‘no”s and ‘never”s, pushing a big fat dose of despondency on top of some light, ever-shifting percussive patterns. Chances are you’ll be hooked on the voice and nothing but. The bedroom-style of this piece is nigh-on 100% slovenly. But you barely notice. It’s all about the figure at centre stage, the future superstar laying bare.
