THE WEEKEND GIG
Slow Magic, Giraffage, Mister Lies - London, Hoxton Bar and Kitchen (Sunday 26th)

Some of the world’s best bedroom producers are touring together. They’re being shown Europe and all its glorious music venues to boot. Far flung from experimenting and creating some forward-thinking tracks, on the road Slow Magic, Giraffage and Mister Lies make quite the team. Who knows, perhaps they’ll force through a sea change on these shores while they’re visiting.

THE SONG
ELLIOTT POWER - SINK/SWIM

Plenty’s being said about Elliott Power and how he’s basically got this whole ‘emerging solo artist’ dig made. James Murphy’s praised one of his old bands apparently, and what better way to say thanks than by sourcing this ecstatic, DFA homage of sorts in ‘How I Feel’? Taken from a self-titled EP, this one’s all about the groove.
