Mister Lies streams new tracks, ‘Flood You’ and ‘Medusa’
Nick Zanca’s second album is due out later this year.
Chicago producer Nick Zanca aka Mister Lies is streaming ‘Flood You’ and ‘Medusa’, a two part new single due out 1st July.
The first half is a shifting, skittering number that announces “This ain’t a club track” before exploring organic instrumentation and swift, clipped percussive parts. It mixes a harsh quality with an unnerving beauty, building on the similar constrast explored in 2013 debut ‘Mowgli’. ‘Medusa’ is a more minimal number, with barely-there electronics swimming around with serious intent bubbling up beneath the surface.
A new Mister Lies album is complete and it’s expected for later this year via Orchid Tapes.
