THE GIG
Travis Bretzer w/ Moon King - London, Birthdays
Another bright Canadian prospect bounding across the world thanks to some generous government funding, Travis Bretzer’s playing one of two London shows tonight, supporting Toronto’s Moon King at Birthdays.
THE SONG
No Coda - Numbers [DIY Premiere]
Heady to the point of sending sorry fools up to the skies, Swedish group No Coda provide the kind of thrashing, rhythmic antidote to anyone lacking drive or intention. Like countrymen Holograms without the furrowed brows, this is a more light-hearted, less intense form of escape. And it’s just as appealing. Bellowed chants and arms aloft, its chorus is one of immense, post-punk rejoice.
