Travis Bretzer rolls back the years with Grant Singer-directed ‘Promises’ video

Travis Bretzer’s music has the effect of transporting listeners into a cloudy, ether-effect time chamber, like Doctor Who scouring the skies while on valium. Nostalgia swims around, with melodies sharp enough to survive in any decade.

It’s appropriate to find the Canadian channelling his inner Top of the Pops for this new video. Grant Singer directs ‘Promises’, which sees Bretzer and band donning shades and sharp suits, dreaming up what it’d be like as modern day superstars trapped in a previous televised dimension.

Serenading enough to the point of being an actual love letter, ‘Promises’ is taken from the debut full-length ‘Waxing Romantic’. It’s out 23rd February, produced by Haunted Graffiti’s Jorge Elbrecht.
