ABBA announce new album ‘Voyage’ and new concert experience

Returning after 40 years, pop legends ABBA have announced that their brand new album ‘Voyage’ will be arriving on 5th November, alongside announcing a new concert experience!

A “revolutionary” new concert, it will see Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid performing digitally with a live 10-piece band, in a purpose-built arena in London from 27th May 2022.

ABBA Voyage will open at the ABBA Arena, a state-of-the-art 3,000 capacity arena located at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. Pre-registration for tickets opens at 6pm tonight on abbavoyage.com.

And alongside that, they’re sharing two new songs, ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ and ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’, too.

“The first song, ‘I Still Have Faith In You’, I knew when Benny played the melody, I just knew it had to be about us.” Björn says. “It’s about realising that it’s inconceivable to be where we are, no imagination could dream up that, to release a new album after 40 years and still be the best of friends, and still be enjoying each other’s company, and have a total loyalty…who has experienced that? Nobody.”

“We simply call it ‘Voyage’ and we’re truly sailing in uncharted waters. With the help of our younger selves, we travel into the future. It’s not easy to explain but then it hasn’t been done before.” Benny adds. “It’s hard to say what’s been the most joyful thing for me with this project. If it’s the involvement in creating the concert together with everyone or being back in the studio together again after 40 years. I think hearing Frida and Agnetha singing again is hard to beat. When you come to the arena you will have the four of us together with an absolutely glorious 10-piece band. And even if not in the flesh, we will be right there, thanks to the work of the creative team and ILM.”
