Big Thief’s Adrianne Lenker shares ‘symbol’ from new solo album ‘abysskiss’
The record comes out in October via Saddle Creek.
Adrianne Lenker of Big Thief announced recently that she was set to release a new solo album called ‘abysskiss’.
The album, out next month via Saddle Creek, was previewed by gorgeous first single ‘cradle’, and a second preview has now been shared.
‘symbol’ is just as delicate and beautiful as its predecessor, and Adrianne explains its meaning in a press release.
“While I was resting for a week between tours, ‘symbol’ came through,” she says. “I think it was born out of the feeling of wanting to feel at home somewhere amidst the blur of constant travel.
“Writing it helped me articulate the recognition of a very deep sense of home contained within the warmth of my loved ones and friends made visible in something as simple as a smile.”
‘abysskiss’ is out on 5th October via Saddle Creek - listen to ‘symbol’ below.
