AIM Independent Music Awards 2012 Open For Entries
Fifteen awards will be presented in total, including the Golden Welly Award for Best Independent Festival, which will be voted for by readers of DIY.

Entries for this year’s AIM Independent Music Awards have opened today (14th June), with both AIM member labels and non AIM members able to put themselves forward for categories such as Best Live Act, Best Small Label, and Hardest Working Band or Artist.
Fifteen awards will be presented in total, including the Golden Welly Award for Best Independent Festival, which will be voted for by readers of DIY no less. We’ll remind you a bit nearer the time, but the voting for that one will be open from 10th - 23rd September.
Other awards include Independent Breakthrough Of The Year and Outstanding Contribution to Music, previously awarded to Bjork. The winners are voted for by an expert panel of judges from across the music industry.
Application forms can be downloaded here, with submissions accepted up until Friday 27th July. The award ceremony itself will be held at their new venue The Brewery in Clerkenwell on 29th October.
