Albert Hammond Jr. shares ‘Losing Touch’

Strokes guitarist’s new LP ‘Momentary Masters’ is out this July.

Following solo and full-band performances at this year’s Primavera Sound, guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. is sharing a new track from his forthcoming LP.

‘Losing Touch’ links up with ‘Born Slippy’ in previewing the new full-length ‘Momentary Masters’. An initially restrained piece of tightly-wound guitar pop, it soon unfolds and reveals the kind of chorus that slots in well with previous LPs ‘Yours to Keep’ and ‘¿Cómo Te Llama?’

Hammond Jr. says the new album contains “the best songs I’ve ever written… But in that split second that it comes, that feeling goes… I feel like that’s what being creative is: It’s you bouncing with emotion and what you capture in those bounces.”

The Strokes are set to play London’s BST Hyde Park on 18th June. We’re giving away a pair of tickets here.
