Albert Hammond, Jr to release range of ties

The Strokes guitarist has teamed up with NYC menswear brand Jacques-Elliott.

The Strokes are enshrined in music ‘lore for many a thing - mostly their impeccable and world-changing debut album, ‘Is This It’, but also their impressive fashion skills.

Overnight, the band’s mere existence saw a generation throw out skater jeans, chains, bulky trainers and nu-metal hoodies to be replaced by skinny jeans, Converse, vintage shirts and - yes - ties.

So it makes TOTAL SENSE that ever-smartly-dressed guitarist Albert Hammond, Jr has teamed up to release his own neckwear.

He’s working with NYC brand Jacques-Elliott, and as he posted online earlier this week, the range will be out next month. Expect peak #fashion.

The Strokes headline Barclaycard BST at Hyde Park on 18th June, with support from Beck, Future Islands, Hinds and The Wytches among others. It’s the band’s only UK festival date.

Albert himself also appears both solo and with the band at Primavera Sound in Barcelona this May.
