Alex G shares new track ‘Soaker’
Prolific bedroom musician creates a song of real frustration.

Fresh off the back from a brief tour in the UK, Philadelphian Alex G has shared ‘Soaker’, an unreleased track recorded during the sessions from his latest album ‘DSU’.
Clocking in at less than two minutes, ‘Soaker’ is another scratchy lo-fi cut from Alex G’s personal armoury. A feeling of rejection stems through the lyrics, as he compares himself to water soaking through someone who’s “like glue”. With no reciprocation, ‘Soaker’ details the frustration of reaching out to someone who simply isn’t there for him. The near silent aura of the track is only infringed by a rawness maintained by Giannascoli’s voice and the gentle strums of his guitar.
Stream ‘Soaker’ and check out the details of Alex G’s UK tour below.
