ALT BLK ERA announce new EP ‘Our World’ with new single ‘Tissues’

Nottingham duo ALT BLK ERA have confirmed that they’ll be dropped a new EP, ‘Our World’, on 22nd May via LAB Records, and have also introduced the project by way of new track ‘Tissues’. 

The release will act as a follow up to their breakout debut album ‘Rave Immortal’, which landed last year and saw the pair - made up of sisters Nyrobi and Chaya Beckett-Messam  - scoop a MOBO Award for Best Alternative Music Act.

Speaking about their more pop-leaning latest offering, Nyrobi has explained that “after opening up about my hidden disability in songs like ‘Straight To Heart’ and ‘Come On Outside’, it feels like there’s no topic we should be scared of singing about. With all that’s going on in the world, it was good to talk about feeling overwhelmed with emotions - over a hyper/pop rock beat. The juxtaposition of it almost feels therapeutic.”
