Amy has made the Oscars shortlist

The Oscars shortlist for best documentary has been announced, and Amy Winehouse biopic Amy is amongst the contenders.

The full list - which you can see below - features the Winehouse doc alongside all manner of investigative works.

Amy came under some fire from the singer’s father, who claimed the film was “very hurtful” and “did not show her sense of fun.” Long-time collaborator Mark Ronson defended it though, saying it “puts her back on the pedestal where she belongs.”
