Amyl and The Sniffers share poignant new album preview ‘Big Dreams’
The ballad-adjacent track is the band’s most vulnerable release to date.

Aussie favourites Amyl and The Sniffers have dropped a vulnerable new single entitled ‘Big Dreams’, giving us another taste of their forthcoming third album ‘Cartoon Darkness’ (due out on 25th October via Rough Trade Records).
Their latest track follows recent cuts ‘U Should Not Be Doing That’ and ‘Chewing Gum’, and sees the band move away from their signature punk-rock sound into more melodic territory. Lyrically, meanwhile, it explores the tough reality of trying to achieve your creative ambitions whilst still earning enough to put food on the table.
Explaining more about ‘Big Dreams” concept ahead of its release, vocalist Amy Taylor has shared: “I am actually a bit nervous that it’s a single, because it’s so different from a lot of people’s expectations of us.
“This song was written because a lot of people in my life are struggling financially, and it’s really hard to make your dreams come true when you’re trying to get by day-to-day. But when I think of my friends doing what they love, and I see how good they are at it, I just know they’ve never been dull, they’ve always been lit, and there’s nothing that will break that or take it away from them.”
