Antony Szmierek to launch debut book Roadmap at Hay Festival 2025
It’s set to feature the lyrics of his recently released debut album, as well as additional poems, sketches, and more.

Not content with already dropping a stellar debut album in 2025, Antony Szmierek has now revealed that his first book - entitled Roadmap - will also be arriving this Spring, published by Faber Music.
The Manchester poet, producer, and performer is set to launch the book at the Hay Festival next month, where he’ll deliver a music performance (24th May) and also sit down in conversation with fellow poet Len Pennie (25th May), before Roadmap is released everywhere on 29th May.
It’ll act as something of a visual accompaniment to Antony’s debut LP ‘Service Station At The End Of The Universe’, including the album’s lyrics and an ‘exploded view’ of the tracks, as well as exclusive poems, stories, and sketches.
“I’m not being ironic, using a persona or wearing a mask, my music is just me expressing myself honestly,” he has said of his work. “There’s nowt to hide behind. It’s sincerity on overdrive – a space where people can connect with each other.”
You can dive into the intergalactic world of ‘Service Station…’ via our recent interview with Antony below.
