Apple Music cites 11 million trial subscribers
Internet services SVP Eddy Cue also admits the service has been bug-ridden.
New streaming giant Apple Music is boasting figures of 11 million trial subscribers from its first month.
After going live on 30th June with an iOS update, the service has picked up big numbers. Apple Music is free for the first three months, before costing £9.99 a month in the UK or £14.99 for a family plan. Eddy Cue - internet services SVP - says he’s “thrilled with the numbers so far.”
Speaking to USA Today, Cue admits that the service has been experiencing some teething problems. “We’re aware that some users have experienced some issues, and we hate letting them down, but we’re releasing updates as fast as we can to address those issues,” he says.
The big test for Apple Music will be when the free trial option expires, and whether subscribers continue their plan or go back to Spotify, or not paying for music in any form.
