Apple Music will offer high bitrate streaming in the next iOS 9 update
A toggle switch will offer higher quality when a device is used on cellular networks.
Apple is to include high-quality streaming options in the upcoming iOS 9 update.
A new software download is to be released on Apple devices in autumn, with Apple Music offering a higher quality option to streaming that betters the current 256 kbps AAC (the current quality of an iTunes purchase).
Presently, the quality of music relies on a Wi-Fi connection and diminishes when users use a device across cellular networks. Appleinsider.com state that the forthcoming update offers a toggle switch for “high quality on Cellular” though the exact bitrate remains unknown. Basically, this is good news for audiophiles.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
