Arlo Parks is the cover star of DIY’s April 2023 issue!
Jessie Ware, Matt Maltese, Indigo de Souza and JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown are also in our latest edition.

We are very excited to announce that the incredible Arlo Parks is the cover star of DIY’s April 2023 issue - which, as it so happens, is officially out now!
When Arlo Parks released her debut album ‘Collapsed In Sunbeams’ just two years ago, her life really was transformed; going from writing in her Hammersmith bedroom to playing across the world and winning the 2021 Mercury Prize for good measure, such a major transition would be dizzying for anyone. Now, two years on from its release, and with a gorgeous second album up her sleeve, we’re thrilled to invite her to the cover this month, during which we caught up with the singer from her new home in LA to discover exactly what went into making ‘My Soft Machine’.
Elsewhere in this month’s issue, we sit down with Jessie Ware to talk her funky and flirty new record ‘That! Feels Good!’, we dive into the veritable treasure trove that is Speedy Wunderground HQ with producer extraordinaire Dan Carey, and get formally introduced to Empire State Bastard, the gnarly new project from Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil and former Oceansize frontman Mike Vennart.
We also catch up with longtime DIY fave Matt Maltese on the eve of his fourth album’s release, Indigo de Souza tells us about her new outlook on life and death, Baba Ali give us an insight into their second album ‘Laugh Like A Bomb’, and we dig into the next career chapter of former Blaenavon frontman Ben Gregory.
Plus, in this month’s In Deep, we dive into the depths of the internet with JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown, and we introduce you to some brilliant Neu acts including Wednesday, Kam-BU, Alice Longyu Gao and Nell Mescal.
