It was already confirmed that work on Band of Horses’ upcoming fifth studio album was underway, and frontman Ben Bridwell has earmarked a release date for Spring of next year in a new interview, labelling the album “almost all done”.

Speaking to Spanish site Binaural, Bridwell said the album, produced by Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, is set to be mixed in the coming weeks.

Talking of the early 2016 release date, Bridwell said: “It makes me angry that it doesn’t come out in autumn because it’s a perfect record for that season. Strange to think that it will come out in a time when the weather comes alive.”

Band of Horses are currently finishing up an ‘unplugged’ tour in support of their 2014 album ‘Acoustic At The Ryman’.
