Beck airs new ‘Heart is a Drum’ video

Late last week, Beck started sharing scattered loops for his ‘Heart is a Drum’ video, each one backed by the same music, but each one also showing a different side to the video.

As it turns out, those teasers were representative of one mini-Beck. Several of them appear in the new video, all arriving in different situations, various attire, but the same confused expression. It’s as if the real Beck (as in the guy who showed up on set on a hot summer’s afternoon), is as confused as the rest of us as to what the hell’s going on. Symbolic imagery and grainy textures only further complicate the whole matter, but it’s a visually striking clip from Sophie Muller.

Beck’s new video can be seen below. He plays Bestival (4th-7th September). He’ll also appear at London Roundhouse on 2nd September for iTunes Festival.
