Holy sheet
Beck rumoured to be releasing a ‘Song Reader’ CD
2012 release might be getting a physical recording due for July 2014.
Beck’s ‘Song Reader’ initially came out in 2012 as sheet music, before gaining an eventual live outing with a little help from his friends. Now it’s looking likely to finally gain a physical release in recorded form.
A CD of ‘Beck Song Reader’ has been listen on Amazon.com, with a release date of 29th July. It’s branched under the name “Various Artists”, suggesting it could either be a collection of live recordings for ‘Song Reader’ (with Jarvis Cocker and Franz Ferdinand performing in London last year), or it’ll be a plush studio version of the tracks that only exist on paper.
The Californian’s year is already looking busy - he’s just released ‘Morning Phase’, his first album in six years, and he’s aiming on putting out a second record in 2014, all while appearing at Festival No. 6 and Bestival.
