Beck To Release Three New Tracks For PS3 Game
He’s still not got an album pencilled in, but we’re going to get out hands on three new tracks from the man himself.

Beck seems to be slowly creeping back into the spotlight, but only just. Following the release of his Blue Series single on Third Man Records, earlier this year, there were whispers of more material.
Now, granted, we have some new tracks from him, but they’re not entirely conventional. Written to accompany certain levels on a brand new game for Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita, Sound Shapes (funnily enough, it’s a game about music), we’re going to get our mitts on three new tracks: ‘Cities’, ‘Touch the People’, and ‘Spiral Staircase’.
Other artists contributing to the game - which mixes the craft of music writing with game play, or whatever that means - include deadmau5, Jim Guthrie, and I Am Robot and Proud.
We’re still waiting on being able to hear the tracks, but in the meantime, you can hear Beck covering Woody Guthrie’s ‘I Ain’t Got No Home’, in celebration of what would’ve been his 100th birthday.
