Bellevue Days announce their debut album ‘It Can’t Possibly Go Wrong Ever’
They’ve also shared the video for new single ‘FREAKIN OUT’.
Croydon-based alt-rock four piece Bellevue Days have finally - FINALLY! - announced that they’re going to release their debut album, ‘It Can’t Possibly Go Wrong Ever’, later this year. And because they’re spoiling us today, they’ve also released the video for the first track to be taken from the record, ‘FREAKIN OUT’.
“‘FREAKIN OUT’ is mainly about depression—a kind of depression that keeps you up all night and makes you question everything,” frontman Alan Smith says of the new single. “I’ve had some people close to me deal with addiction and depression, and it’s hard for everyone involved. We were listening to a bit of Demob Happy at the time, that kind of inspired the chorus. Also we’ve always loved ourselves a cheeky bit of Manchester Orchestra.”
The video was directed by Richard Heslop, whose credits boast working with Queen, The Smiths and The Cure, and features the foursome reenacting some of our nightmares in frankly quite terrifying masks throughout the distorted visuals. “We wanted something a bit freaky, which is something Richard managed to capture perfectly,” Alan enthuses. “He really gets into it, to the point where we almost had a snow machine! Luckily we captured everything we needed to without it…”
Check out the video now and keep your eyes peeled for more album info in the next few months!
