Beyond Stoke
Has Stoke City’s Charlie Adam announced a new Biffy Clyro album?
“Pleasure to meet you lads. All the best with new album”

There’s been some extravagant ways of hugely anticipated new albums being announced, on purpose or not. Adele had a telly advert, Haim opted for billboards.
Biffy Clyro though? They opted for Stoke City’s midfield workhorse Charlie Adam. Or maybe he just dropped them in it.
The band yesterday posted a tweet and photo with Stoke players Adam, Joe Allen, Peter Crouch and Jack Butland, thanking them for inviting them down to a big Wednesday night at the Britannia Stadium.
In Adam’s reply to the tweet, he, quite amazingly, seems to reveal that Biffy are working on a new album, which would be the follow-up to last year’s ‘Ellipsis’.
“Pleasure to meet you lads. All the best with new album,” he wrote. We’re kings of reading way too much into little scraps of information here at DIY, but if Charlie Adam really has let slip that Biffy are back in the studio, then it’s a bright Friday ahead of us indeed.
We’re also now fully expecting the record to feature a rap verse from Peter Crouch.
