Big Ups announce new 7” single, stream ‘Rash’

Cure the itch with the Brooklyn band’s first new material since debut ‘Eighteen Hours of Static’.

Feel the heat? New York’s Big Ups are upping the ante following their debut LP release. Joe Galarraga and co. put out their ‘Eighteen Hours of Static’ album at the beginning of the year, thrashing their way through UK showcase fests, blowing minds - and speakers - at Brighton’s The Great Escape.

They managed to find time to dip back into a studio this summer, where they recorded another snot-nosed, forthright slab of disturbingly-minded punk.

‘Rash’, according to Galarraga, is about being able to hear strangers through thin city walls, getting zero privacy 24/7. His response? To bark out words like they’re apocalypse-fighting instructions.

‘Rash’ formed part of a new 7” release alongside ‘Not Today’. It’s out 27th October on Tough Love. Pre-order here.
