Björk says she’s “Thrilled” to be on the new Death Grips album

Yesterday Death Grips kicked off the week with a surprise new release, ‘Niggas on the Moon’. The third LP in succession to be released online without any label approval, it was notable for two things: The song title ‘Have a Sad Cum’ and the appearance of Björk on every single track.

It might seem an odd fit; abrasive hip-hop meets graceful Icelandic experimentalism. But both artists share a certain kinship in their ability to never sit still or play it safe - as it turns out, Björk’s all in favour of appearing on the new record.

Posting on her Facebook, she said: “i am proud to announce my vocals landed on the new death grips album ! i adore the death grips and i am thrilled to be their “found object”. i have been lucky enough to hang and exchange music loves w/ them and witness them grow !! epic : onwards !!”
