Björk shares remixes of ‘Vulnicura’ tracks by Lotic, Mica Levi, Katie Gately, and Kramphaft

Part 1 of the two set features edits of ‘Notget’, ‘Family’, ‘History of Touches’, and ‘Lionsong’

Björk has shared two remixes of tracks taken from her recently released album ‘Vulnicura’.

One Little Indian Records are set to release two sets of remixes of the album, with collaborators including Lotic, Mica Levi, Katie Gately, and Kramphaft included in the first set. Lotic has remixed ‘Notget’; Kate Gately has put her hand to ‘Family’; Mica Levi oversaw an edit of ‘Lionsong’ and Krampfhaft edited ‘History of Touches’.

Each artist has provided a story behind their body of work, with Björk introducing how the collaborations first formed. Lotic said that when he worked on the ’Notget (Lotic Keptsafe Version), like Björk, he was also mourning his past relationship and “knew this meant remixing the song would be difficult, both technically and emotionally.” Lotic adds: “In the end, I felt I had to attempt to amplify both the desperation the song expresses as well as the inspired, reminiscent joy.”

Yesterday, Björk shared the video for ‘Black Lake’, previously unveiled at the recent Museum of Modern Art retrospective, titled ‘Björk’. Watch the video below.
