Björk’s new album is produced by Arca and out in November

Back in summer, Björk shared a hand-written note on her Twitter account, revealing that her new album would be coming “very soon”.

“I am excited to share with you that my new album is coming out very soon, warmthness, Björk,” she wrote. Details of said album’s first single were then revealed.

‘The Gate’ was revealed to be coming out on 18th September, being released on vinyl four days later on the 22nd via One Little Indian.

More details have now come to light about the record via a feature in the New York Times. It’s still as-yet-untitled, but will be out in November, and produced by Arca.

“vulnicura was about a very personal loss, and i think this new album is about a love that’s even greater,” the singer wrote in a statement. “it’s about rediscovering love – but in a spiritual way, for lack of a better word.”

Björk last released ‘Vulnicura Strings’, an orchestral counterpart to her 2015 LP. The album was also subject to a VR exhibition that travelled around the world.
