Blondshell announces second album ‘If You Asked For A Picture’

Blondshell - aka Sabrina Teitelbaum - has announced plans to release her second album, ‘If You Asked For A Picture’, later this year.

The singer, who released her self-titled debut back in 2023, will follow it up with her latest full-length on 2nd May 2025 when it’s released via Partisan Records. The twelve-track record sees her return to work with with producer Yves Rothman, while some its sonic touchstones include - the perhaps unexpected - Queens of the Stone Age’s ‘Rated R’ and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘Californication’. ““It’s empowering for me to use sonic references that feel reserved for men,” Sabrina has said.

Alongside the new of her new album’s release, she’s also shared a fresh taste of it in the form of ‘T&A’, which follows on from last year’s ‘What’s Fair’. “There’s a Rolling Stones song on ‘Tattoo You’ called ‘Little T&A’ and at one point in the song, he says “tits and ass,” so I’m borrowing that,” she says, of track. “I think in music, it’s easy to see things as either more sexualised or more romantic, and I wanted this to be both. I see it as a love story - maybe not the most fairy tale love story— but I wanted it to feel like a really narrative song, where one thing leads to another and then you end up somewhere you didn’t expect. Normally that’s not how I write, but I wanted a song like that.”
