Blur To Play Warm Up Dates This August
Blur are set to play four warm up dates in early August in preparation for their huge Hyde Park show.

Blur might have originally planned to release some special news tonight (according to their Facebook page posting on Friday), but it looks like they’ve been beaten to the punch by a premature venue announcement, with four warm up dates for their huge Hyde Park show this August.
According to a listing on Wolverhampton Civic Hall’s website, the band will play three venues and four shows later this year. They’ll kick off with a show at Margate Winter Gardens on 1st August, with two Wolves gigs on the 5th and 6th and a date at Plymouth Pavilions on 7th August.
Tickets are extremely limited with a special pre-sale for fans, at 9am on Wednesday 16th May (ahead of the general on-sale of Friday 18th). You can find more details here.
The dates read:
August
1 Margate Winter Gardens
5 Wolverhampton Civic Hall
6 Wolverhampton Civic Hall
7 Plymouth Pavillions
Blur are also set to play a couple of European festivals and an Olympics closing ceremony celebration in Hyde Park on August 12th. The band will also release a special box set containing their entire back catalogue on 30th July.
