Let's be Frank
Bob Dylan announces new album ‘Shadows In The Night’
The icon’s next record will be comprised of songs made famous by Sinatra.
Details have emerged of Bob Dylan’s thirty-sixth studio album. Entitled ‘Shadows In The Night’, his forthcoming LP, slated for release on 2nd February, will be composed of ten standards made famous by Frank Sinatra.
In an accompanying press release, Dylan took pains to distance ‘Shadows In The Night’ from being brandished a ‘covers’ album, suggesting that its ten tracks had “been covered enough. Buried, as a matter of fact.” Carrying on, he explained that “what me and my band are basically doing is uncovering (the songs.) Lifting them out of the grave and bringing them into the light of day.”
Self-produced under his usual Jack Frost pseudonym, ‘Shadows In The Night’ will be the ‘Like A Rolling Stone’ singer’s first new collection of music since 2012’s ‘Tempest’. See the full tracklisting below:
