Bob Dylan on course for eighth Number One with ‘Shadows in the Night’

Midweek Official Chart update sees Joey Bada$$ climbing 68 places with his debut.

Bob Dylan’s 38th studio album ‘Shadows in the Night’ is set to top the Official Albums Chart, according to midweek figures.

A collection of covers of tracks originally sung by Frank Sinatra, it’ll be Dylan’s eighth chart-topping full-length if it keeps the #1 spot.

‘Shadows in the Night’ sits above Ed Sheeran’s ‘X’ and Meghan Trainor’s ‘Title’, with Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Special’ missing out on the top five.

New entries in the Official Albums Chart arrive from Indiana (#12 with ‘No Romeo’) and Kid Ink at #6 for third album ‘Full Speed’.

Joey Bada$$, meanwhile, has gone up 68 laces from 99 to 21 with his ‘B4.DA.$$’ debut.

Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’ single - hitting its seventh straight number one last week - is set to lose out to Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ in the Official Singles Chart.
