Brighton force Tigercub are on a mission to ‘Destroy’ with new track

Group have signed up to Too Pure for their next release.

Ask any band circuiting Brighton’s venues and forging their own rep from the seaside - they’ll cite Tigercub as the glue to the scene, the band piecing everything together and bit-by-bit cementing a reputation of their own. More than a namecheck, they’re an exciting addition to the city’s fledging movement.

Post-releasing a single on Blood Red Shoes’ Jazz Life label, they’ve taken their firmest step forwards so far with ‘Destroy’, a new release on Too Pure. Two years since forming, their resolutely dingy, grit-lined rock ’n roll has become more fevered, and ‘Destroy’ sees them singing from the perspective of a haggard city-dweller. “I get around, I get around, I get around,” runs the chorus, like a germ infiltrating the system.

DIY has the first play of ‘Destroy’ below. It’s being released alongside ‘You’ on AA-side 7”, 7th August.

JULY
26 Birmingham, Off the Cuff Festival

AUGUST
